We attended the first ever Soundstock Festival despite the forecast of rain, windy and clouds! For two days, we had a lot of fun together, meeting the acts that performed on stage and face painting our customers who were fantastically crazy like us!
Day One saw us face paint a very talented musician, Tall Dark Friend, who we completely fell in love with! Her music is so unique and hilarious with a deep meaning too, we will definitely be following her work, (and possibly stalking at times!).
We also met a band called TwoSixOnes, an edgier sound that we immediately put our paint brushes down for when they came on stage! Thanks for the CD, guys!
Pick a Princess Appearance attended with their pony rides and Elsa, Anna and Cinderella were offering free meet and greets to all the mini guests, (and the big, manly guests too!)
Day Two was a little quieter, the rain had taken hold in the morning but by lunchtime we had warmed up and we were ready to watch the Savage Garden tribute band!
Throughout the day, we enjoyed eating from the Pulled Pork catering van, as well as Spanish Churros and doughnuts! We didn’t paint as many faces the second day but we didn’t mind as we were still having a brilliant time!
We would like to say a big thank you to the organiser, Sharon, for letting us have a pitch over the two days, it was a very well organised event, and everyone was in high spirits with a lovely atmosphere.
Same time again next year?!
